Je souhaitais partager avec vous depuis quelques temps déjà des petits bouts de notre cuisine.
Les travaux dans la maison comme à l'extérieur touchent à présent à leur fin et même s'il reste quelques finitions de-ci de-là, nous pouvons à présent profiter pleinement de tout le travail accompli!

It has been a while since I wanted to share  some pictures of our kitchen.
The work inside the house as well as outside is now really coming to an end and although we still have a few finishing touches needed here and there, we can finally fully enjoy the fruits of our hard work!

C'est avec bonheur que je fais maintenant ma vaisselle le nez dans les arbres!

I can now happily wash the dishes with my nose in the trees!

La cuisine, la salle à manger et le salon n'étant qu'une seule grand pièce, nous avons choisi de peindre un mur de couleur gris foncé pour mieux démarquer l'espace cuisine et mettre en valeur la vaisselle blanche posée sur les étagères.

The kitchen, dining room and lounge being one big open space, we decided to paint one wall in a dark grey to really separate the kitchen space from the rest and to show case all the white dishes on the shelves.

J'ai bien entendu donné la part belle à mes objets anciens. Le petit moutardier est un cadeau qui m'est cher offert par ma soeurette, j'ai utilisé un pot à pommade pour le gros sel (comme prévu!), une boîte ancienne pour les dosettes du lave vaisselle dans le placard et le reste tourne au gré de mes envies!

Of course I got to use all my favourites antique stuff. The mustard pot is a precious gift tha was given to me by my sister, I used an old pharmacy pot for rock salt (as I had planned!), an old Reckitt's blue box for the dishwashing tablets and the rest just keep turning around depending on my mood!

Les créations pour la période de noël et le printemps bien installé justifient un peu mon éloignement du blog ces temps-ci.
Je coupe le tissu de mon stock et les fleurs du jardin pour faire tantôt des albums photos (et autres!), tantôt des bouquets!
La pile d'en cours ne désemplit pas, et pour joindre l'utile à l'agréable, c'est dehors au soleil que je fais mes petites coutures à la main.

Creations for the Christmas season and spring being well settled here are two of the reasons that keep away from my blog at the moment.
I cut the fabric from my stock and the flowers of the garden, to make photo albums (and many more!) on one side and bouquets on the other!
My "to finish" pile never seams to lower down, so to enjoy the best of both worlds you can find me outside in the sun doing all the hand stitching to finish my work.

Une série d'assiettes à dessert emblématiques en Nouvelle Zélande, dont personne ne veut encore vraiment parce que ça leur rappelle trop leurs grands parents mais moi je me dis que cette collection, de plus en plus difficile à trouver, sera le Sarreguemines de NZ, vous verrez!

S'ajoute à ça une assiette et un pichet d'Angleterre, je suis prête pour une dinette là hein!

Cute things on my way around the op shops again today!

I bought 5 dessert plates so very typical of New Zealand, that no one really wants to buy yet because it reminds them of their grand parents, but I tell you that this collection, wich is getting harder and harder to find, will one day be the "Sarreguemines" of NZ, I told you first!

On top of that a plate and a mini pitcher both from England, yep I am ready for a nice meal I guess!
